Ten years after friends call us UNKL347

What started as an attempt by a couple of youngsters in Bandung, West Java, to create clothes that represented their personalities (creative and fun-loving) and interests (skateboarding, music and graphic design) has become a growing business that has helped shape the youth culture in Bandung and other cities in Indonesia. Now, UNKL347, a pioneer indie clothing company in Bandung that has helped create a tight community of Bandung's indie music and art scene, is celebrating its creative engagement by releasing a design book containing a selection of 12 years worth of work.

The book, titled after ten years, people call as unkle, is a presentation of the company's ever-evolving creativity. It is a design archive -- hard covered and 248 pages -- which includes apparel design, print ads, catalogues, stickers and postcards.

"This is our contribution to the Indonesian graphic design scene. We live for graphic design and we want to be part of Indonesian graphic design history," Dendy Darman, founder of UNKL347 , said.
